Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical, Nov. 4-19. Clooney’s greatest hits (including Come On-A My House, Tenderly and Hey There) highlight the story of Clooney’s life (which begins just 60 miles from The Carnegie,, in Maysville, Ky.) Learn about her career successes, personal struggles, and her triumphant reinvention as a jazz singer.
Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Jan. 18-28. Based on the children’s classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the 1971 musical film starring Gene Wilder, young Charlie finds his golden ticket, sings along with the Oompa-Loompas, and takes a fantastical tour of the most famous candy factory ever.
Motherhood Out Loud, April 14-29. Contemporary playwrights including Beth Henley, Lameece Issaq, Lisa Loomer, Michele Lowe, and Theresa Rebeck offer an insightful take on the many forms of motherhood. From moms to stepmoms, mothers-in-law, and even dads who double as moms. Expect lots of laughs and even a few tears.
