"Full Monty", "Rosemary Clooney" Part of Carnegie's 10th Anniversary Season

The Full Monty, Aug, 12-27.  Times are desperate for a group of unemployed steel workers in Buffalo. How to pay the bills? Here’s a bright idea – take it all off! Funny and big-hearted, the guys learn a lot about themselves as they prepare to bare their butts.

Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical, Nov. 4-19. Clooney’s greatest hits (including Come On-A My House, Tenderly and Hey There) highlight the story of Clooney’s life (which begins just 60 miles from The Carnegie,, in Maysville, Ky.) Learn about her career successes, personal struggles, and her triumphant reinvention as a jazz singer.

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, Jan. 18-28. Based on the children’s classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the 1971 musical film starring Gene Wilder, young Charlie finds his golden ticket, sings along with the Oompa-Loompas, and takes a fantastical tour of the most famous candy factory ever.

Motherhood Out Loud, April 14-29. Contemporary playwrights including Beth Henley, Lameece Issaq, Lisa Loomer, Michele Lowe, and Theresa Rebeck offer an insightful take on the many forms of motherhood. From moms to stepmoms, mothers-in-law, and even dads who double as moms. Expect lots of laughs and even a few tears.
