New Position to Focus on Kenton County Development Opportunities
The Kenton County Fiscal Court and Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Tri-ED) announced Monday the hiring of Patricia "Pat" Wingo as director, Kenton County economic development services.
The newly created position, as first reported by The River City News last week, will be responsible for providing specific and additional economic development services in Kenton County to improve the readiness of the community for business development opportunities.
“The new position of Director of Kenton County Economic Development Services will provide expertise to individual communities in our county that want to evaluate, improve and market their assets,” said Kris Knochelmann, Kenton County Judge-/Executive.
Wingo has worked in Northern Kentucky for 20 years and brings considerable experience in many facets of economic and community development. She previously served as Economic Development Director for the City of Newport and as City Coordinator for the City of Florence.
“We are excited to have Pat join our team here at Tri-ED. This is our 30th year of advancing industry in Northern Kentucky and we are looking forward to expanding our ability to help Kenton County communities achieve increased economic vibrancy,” said Dan Tobergte, president & CEO of Tri-ED. “Pat brings many years of experience and familiarity with Northern Kentucky and I am sure she will be a huge asset to our team.”
