Covington Fitness Center Awarded $25,000 Loan in Competition
A Covington fitness center was awarded a $25,000 loan from Aviatra Accelerators, formerly known as Bad Girl Ventures.
The check was accepted at Aviatra's "Flight Night", a live pitch event where Core Strong founder and owner Stephanie Tieman competed against four other members of the 2017 LAUNCH for the loan. Each member pitched their business plans to a selection committee at New Riff Distillery in Newport.
Core Strong offers a variety of fitness classes such as yoga, boxing, core strength, and core cardio led by a team of trainers at its Russell Street location.
During Covington-based Aviatra's seven-week LAUNCH class, each member learned how to prepare and execute key startup milestones from each functional business area to take their business to higher level.
