Pike Street Homeless Clinic Relocating
It celebrated its 28th anniversary on Monday.
Next week, it will move.
HealthPoint's Pike Street Clinic has served the homeless population in Covington since 1989, but the location will be consolidated into the HealthPoint offices in Covington, Bellevue, and Florence, a news release said.
With this move, Pike Street patients will see upgraded facilities, have access to more services, including dental, behavioral health, pediatric and women’s health services, and will have expanded hours to access those increased services and resources, the release stated.
Sister Ann John Kotch, who has been with the Pike Street Clinic since its inception, will continue to lead HealthPoint’s efforts to reach and treat the homeless community. Her staff will also continue to be an integral part of HealthPoint’s care team at the Covington office on Madison Avenue. “It’s exciting for our patients to have more services, hours and resources for support not only in Covington but in all of Northern Kentucky," said Sister Ann John. "We will be able to reach more people impacted by homelessness with this new approach to healthcare for the homeless.”
"Our clients will continue to utilize and access these new locations," said Kim Webb, director of the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky. "This is a positive step in assisting the homeless community in accessing holistic quality treatment.”
HealthPoint Family Care CEO Chris Goddard said that the move will better meet the needs of the homless population.
