Owner of Latonia Home Destroyed in Fire Offers Reward for Information
The owner of a Latonia home destroyed by fire late Tuesday night is offering a reward for helpful information.
The home at 309 West 34th Street had been recently purchased by Steve Sparks of Rebound Remodels. Kenton County property records show the sale date as June 6, 2017.
"At this point, it doesn't seem to be anything to do with the house or its electric," Sparks wrote in a post on Facebook.
Sparks is offering a $500 reward "for anyone who reports anything that leads to finding the cause."
"There have been sketchy reports of people running from the general area but nothing that can be verified," Sparks wrote.
Katie Woodring, producer and photographer at Faces of the Covington, KY Fire Department, captured this dramatic videos of the fire:
The photo below, from the Kenton County Property Value Administrator, shows the house prior to the fire. It was last sold for $22,000.
Anyone with information should call the Covington Fire Department at 859.431.0462.
