Woman to Police: Man Found Dead in Dayton is My Missing Husband
The man found dead inside a vehicle in Dayton was missing for several days, according to a woman who spoke to police.
A Dayton Police officer was stopped late Monday night by a woman who said that her missing hisband was dead inside a car on the 900 block of Walnut Street.
Officers followed the woman to the site where a Nissan Altima with Ohio plates was located. A man was dead in the driver's seat.
Police closed the block and contacted the Campbell County coroner.
According to Dayton Police Chief David Halfhill, the woman said that the dead man was her missing husband, Robert Harris. According to posts on social media, Robert Harris was from Colerain Township, outside of Cincinnati, and went missing on July 12.
Dayton Police said in a news release that the man's death is under investigation to determine how long he had been in the vehicle, the cause of death, and whether the man is in fact Robert Harris.
