Covington Family Dollar to Reopen as Dollar General with Free Giveaways

The Family Dollar store at 1722 Madison Avenue in Covington is now a Dollar General.

Though the Family Dollar sign has been removed and Dollar General's familiar yellow and black colors are seen inside, and the store is already open, it will celebrate a grand opening on Saturday, August 12.

The official grand opening is set to begin at 8 a.m. with free prizes and special deals. The first 50 adult shoppers at the store will receive a $10 gift card, while the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag with complimentary product samples, among other giveaways.
