$80,000 Race Car Stolen from Walton, Van Stolen from Erlanger Recovered

An $80,000 race car stolen from Richwood was recovered in Colerain Township, Ohio.

On Saturday, the Boone County Sheriff's Office learned that an enclosed car hauler was stolen and that it contained a valuable dirt track race car and associated tools and equipment.

After spending the ensuing days developing leads and working with neighboring agencies, Boone deputies learned that Colerain Township Police on Friday located the trailer being pulled by a Ford Econoline van that had been stolen from Erlanger.

Two people were arrested.

James Hunter, 44, of Elsmere, and Melissa Fultz, 48, were taken into custody by Colerain Township Police.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office is pursuing charges for the alleged crime in Walton.
