Man Arrested on Arson, Weapons Charges After Fire Destroys Covington Home
Fire destroyed a home on Banklick Street in Covington on Tuesday night and now one man is behind bars.
Firefighters and police responded to the 1400 block of Bankick where a home was entirely engulfed in flames.
Witnesses told The River City News that police were already in the area, searching for someone on foot, when the fire broke out.
Early Wednesday morning, Larry Steven Ackerman, 46, was booked into the Kenton County Detention Center.

He is charged with second degree arson, carrying a concealed weapon, and first degree wanton endangerment.
Ackerman also has an outstanding warrant in other jurisdiction.
