The Covington man bowled a perfect 300 on Saturday at Fern Valley Strike and Spare in Louisville. The perfect round came in Kelly's second game. He bowled a 200 in the first to score a 500 total, enough to win the gold medal in his division.
Kelly has excelled in bowling at the state level before, scoring a 299 at the state tournament in 2010 in Lexington.
