Reforest Northern Kentucky Event Set for March
The annual volunteer Reforest Northern Kentucky event will take place March 24 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in Campbell County at the Sanitation District No. 1 Eastern Regional Water Reclamation Facility.
The Reforest NKY event site is located at 8880 East Main Street in Alexandria. Parking will be located on site.
Reforest NKY is continuing its efforts to restore native Kentucky woodlands. To show your support, volunteers are encouraged to wear their favorite Reforest NKY t-shirt from the past planting events.
For those who have never been to a Reforest NKY event, or those who would like a new t-shirt, a limited number will be offered for pre-sale during registration (online only). Volunteers will be offered a free take-home tree to continue this project at their own locations.
At 9:00 a.m. there will be a tree planting demonstration. This demonstration includes how to plant a tree sapling and may be of interest to those that want to plant a larger tree. Proper installation and post planting care will be addressed during the demonstration.
Registration coming soon! For more information on the Reforest NKY event and to register please visit the NKY Urban and Community Forestry Council’s website at: www.nkyurbanforestry.org.
