NKU Student Dies at Red River Gorge
A Northern Kentucky University student died while at Red River Gorge this week.
Luis Fernando Carlos, 20, died after falling from Whistling Arch on Tuesday evening. His body was recovered by the Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team.
According to The Northerner, Carlos was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and a multicultural mentor. His fraternity brothers remembered him in a tweet:

Carlos was reportedly intoxicated before the fall.
“We can’t stress it enough that camping along cliffs while under the influence is a terrible idea,” the search and rescue team’s Facebook page said.
