In Gratitude: Exploring Our Regional Food System & More in New Column

Hi! I’m Rachel, the founder of the Gratitude Collective. We are super excited to be partnering with RCN on a new column that will be full of fun, stories, recipes and so much more. The Gratitude Collective is our umbrella organization that is home to my company Grateful Grahams and to our non-profit, the Incubator Kitchen Collective.
 
I started Grateful Grahams in 2010 with a passion to share a message of gratitude through a delicious artisan graham cracker. Eight years later, we are in a commercial kitchen making over 14,000 cookies a week that you can find at Kroger, coffee shops and other favorite retailers all over Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
 
With my company growing I saw a need in our community to build a shared use commercial with kitchen space. My goal was to not only provide a kitchen that food start ups could rent space in but to build a community where they could learn, share and grow. I wanted to use my knowledge and resources to give food entrepreneurs a fighting chance to succeed in a traditionally tough industry. That is how the Incubator Kitchen Collective was founded in 2013. (For some of you that have been following us for a while you may remember us by our former name, NKY Incubator Kitchen).
 
The Gratitude Collective encompasses a couple other projects that help us achieve one of our goals of building community around local food. Kitchen Convos is a podcast I created that shares stories of food entrepreneurs from all over our region. We will be launching Season 3 shortly so be sure to subscribe today to be the first to listen!
 
The Good People Festival is our annual celebration and all around fun festival that brings together everything we love to do - artisan vendors, good music, amazing people and so much more. This will be our 5th year putting on this festival as a way to celebrate our hard work as a team and as a community.
