Crash Closes I-75, Multiple Medical Helicopters Respond

I-75 southbound was shut down on Thursday morning between Walton and Crittenden after a crash.

Multiple medical helicopters responded to the scene. Three people are still in critical condition.

Police say 36-year old Wesley Boone, of Cythiniana, drove his Chevrolet Blazer off the highway at around 5 a.m. just north of Cirttenden, hitting an embankment and then flipping. He and two passengers, Amy Callahan and Jacob MacLean, are in critical condition.

The interstate was shut down completely for more than ninety minutes with limited access for most of the morning.
