NKY Chamber Hosting Workforce Strategies Lunch & Learn: “QUITTERS WANTED!”
On Wednesday, August 8, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) will host a lunch and learn exploring the ten factors that cause premature death as well as no-cost solutions to keep employees healthy, significantly reducing healthcare costs for employers.
“When employees quit unhealthy habits and move toward wellness, it helps them and the businesses they work for,” said Leisa Mulcahy, vice president of workforce for the NKY Chamber. “Employees learn to stay safe on the job and live healthier, longer lives, and employers can stress less about the cost of healthcare.”
Mary Singler, the Health Promotion Manager for the Northern Kentucky Health Department, will be the presenter. Singler is a certified health education specialist (MCHES) through the American College of Sports Medicine and has worked in health promotion in a variety of settings including a multinational corporation, a not-for-profit organization, and a government position.
