Thomas More College's former President Dave Armstrong was given the Northern Kentucky Community Award for his service last Friday, July 27, during a ceremony held at Thomas More. The award, from the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, was presented by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce President Brent Cooper, and Board Chair Rhonda Whitaker
“The Northern Kentucky Community Award was the perfect way to say thank you to President Armstrong from the business community,” said Cooper. “Not only did he make a huge difference for Thomas More College, he made a tremendous impact on the entire region. His passion and dedication were something special, and we are grateful for his service.”
The NKY Community Award, sponsored by meetNKY, is awarded to exceptional individuals, businesses or organizations that have helped to advance or promote the region. Nominations are open to the community, and awards are presented throughout the year as nominations are received.
“Dave always put students first, in everything he did," Whitaker said. "During his service on various regional boards, including our NKY Chamber Board and the NKY Education Council, Dave regularly reminded everyone of the importance of our future workforce, and that we must work together to ensure we are growing talent throughout the region.”
