Covington Man Sentenced on Child Pornography Charges
A Covington man was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to production of child pornography.
Ryan J. Brock, 34, was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge David Bunning at the federal courthouse in Covington.
The 30-year sentence was the maximum permitted under the law.
Brock previously admitted to sexually abusing a minor relative and producing photographs and videos of the abuse using a tablet device.
The tablet was not found when a search warrant was executed at Brock's Covington home, but investigators found the tablet's empty box in his car, and also located a laptop computer which contained images and videos depicting sexual abuse by Brock involving the minor, as well as other child pornography.
Brock pleaded guilty last December.
He must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before being released, and will be on supervised probation for 25 years after.
