One Jailed, One Hospitalized, Needles Found After Car Flips

A man was arrested and another person was taken to the hospital after a car flipped on Greenup Street in Covington.

It happened Saturday evening just north of 16th Street.

Few official details are known but a car appeared to have been traveling north on the one-way street before it flipped on to its top. It also struck and damaged another vehicle that was parked on the west side of the street.

One person was taken from the scene by ambulance, witnesses said. That person's identity and condition are unknown.

Aaron Michael Asher, who turns 26 on Monday when he is scheduled to be arraigned in Kenton District Court, is charged with possession of heroin, public intoxication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers found needles in the vehicle or on the occupants.
