Meth Dealer Gets 10-Year Sentence
A Grant County man was sentenced to ten years in prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Ryan McNerney, 41, of Dry Ridge, was sentenced late last week in U.S. District Court in Covington by Judge David Bunning.
He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute meth, and admitted that he distributed between 50 and 150 grams of the narcotic in May, 2017, U.S. Attorney Robert M. Duncan said.
One of McNerney's customers was an undercover agent who made purchases four times.
85 percent of the 120-month sentence must be served before McNerney is eligible for parole.
Under federal law, McNerney must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence; and upon his release, he will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for five years.
The investigation was led by the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Kentucky State Police.
