Fundraiser Planned for Taylor Mill Pit Bull Attack Victims
A fundraiser is planned for the two people mauled by a pit bull at their Taylor Mill home.
It happened on July 12 at the home of Jeff and Angel Studer on St. Matthews Circle. Police responded to the scene just before midnight after receiving a call about an active dog attack.
They found Jeff Studer in the backyard being attacked by the family dog.
The pit bull charged at officers, at which point one opened fire, killing it.
Inside the home, officers found Angel Studer suffering from serious injuries from a dog attack.
The incident led the Taylor Mill city commission to discuss a possible ban on pit bulls in the city.
The Studers were also harmed financially by the attack.
Family and friends are planning a benefit for the couple on Saturday, September 22, at Legends Bar & Grill in Latonia (3530 Decoursey Avenue), from 7 p.m. to midnight.
There will be a series of raffles to raise funds to assist the Studers with medical expenses and additional needs.
