New Covington Police Officer Sworn In

Jacob McBee was sworn in as a member of the Covington Police Department on Wednesday.

McBee previously served as an officer in Fort Mitchell.

At the ceremony at Covington City Hall, McBee took the oath of office as administered by Mayor Joe Meyer.

"I hope you know, you're joining the best police department in the region," Meyer said.

McBee, who graduated from Thomas More College and played football there, was a patrol officer in Fort Mitchell for three years, Covington Police Chief Rob Nader said.

"He's just a good cop," Nader said.

McBee will go directly to field training and be on the streets in a few months, the Chief said.
