Two Covington Parks to Host Free Art Events

Art in the Park, a project by the City of Covington's parks and recreation department and Baker Hunt Arts & Cultural Center, is coming to Randolph Park and Barb Cook Park.

The events will offer a step-by-step live demonstration of creating Halloween-inspired cartoon characters. A model sheet can also be created to name a character and create its backstory.

"Art in the Park is a perfect opportunity for families to enjoy the outdoors and flex their creative muscles at the same time," said Erin Smiley, recreation program coordinator for the City of Covington. "It's a great time to start thinking Halloween characters and costumes for the kiddos."

Family members of all ages are invited to take part in the free events.
