Weekend Lane, Exit Closures Coming to Brent Spence, Erlanger
Update: On Friday morning, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that it had canceled the upcoming weekend work in Erlanger, but that work would continue as scheduled moving forward.
Traffic will be impacted by some work on the Brent Spence Bridge between Covington and Cincinnati, and on southbound 75 in Erlanger over the weekend.
The pavement repair project on southbound I-71/75 is in progress now just before the Buttermilk Pike exit to the Turfway Road exit. Weekday work takes place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., while weekend work will take place between 10 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday.
Starting on Friday, November 9, starting at 10 p.m., the Erlanger exits at 184 A and 184 B will be closed until Monday, Nov. 12 at 7 a.m.
Drivers can take exit 182 and re-enter the interstate at Donaldson Road.
Delays are also expected this weekend on the Brent Spence.
The right two lanes on the northbound side of the bridge will be closed from on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. so that work crews can implement a permanent fix to a previously temporary repair of bridge joints.
The work will also close the entrance ramp from 4th Street in Covington to the interstate.
Drivers can take the southbound entrance ramp, exit at Pike Street, and then enter the northbound side of the highway there.
