Park Hills Residents Asked to Vote on New Sidewalks; Business Locating to Town
Park Hills residents on lower Jackson Road will be invited to vote on a pair of options for sidewalks.
Councilman Karl Oberjohn said that he would deliver a drawing of each option to all the residents of that street so that they can cast an informed vote at the Monday, Nov. 26 caucus meeting.
One option is to have sidewalks with no green space between them and the curb. The second would have a strip of green between the sidewalk and the street.
In other business at last Monday night's meeting, Erich Hardebeck introduced himself after purchasing the property at 1481 Dixie Highway, which is home to Cline Upholstering.
That business will close in February and Hardebeck will move his business, Permakill Pest Control there. He said he was looking forward to having his business in Park Hills.
City council also passed an amended tax rate ordinance, after the first such ordinance was found to be incorrect. In the franchise fee section, the first version only included the words franchise and intangible, while the updated version adds a third word, intangible.
