Photo Show by High School Students to Highlight Newport's East Row

A photography show featuring work by Newport High School students opens Monday at the Newport History Museum at The Southgate Street School.

"Celebrating Artistic Expression - The Beauty of the East Row Expressed Through Photography" features photos taken in Newport's historic East Row neighborhood.

The historic schoolhouse is at 215 East Southgate Street near Newport on the Levee. It opened as a museum last year.

The contest winners will be announced at Monday's event which runs from 6 to 8 p.m.

The show will be part of the East Row Victorian Christmas Home Tour as one of the "Points of Interest" on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2 from noon to 6 p.m.

This event is Free to attend and open to the public.
