Speed Enforcement Planned Along I-75 in Kenton County on Wednesday
Speed enforcement will be in effect on I-75 through Kenton County on Wednesday, the Fort Mitchell Police Department said.
The agency posted to Facebook that it, along with other police departments in the county, would be conducting speed enforcement, including the Kenton County Sheriff's Office, Kenton County Police, Covington Police, Fort Wright Police, Lakeside Park/Crestview Hills Police, Villa Hills Police, Erlanger Police, and Kentucky State Police.
There have been 218 collisions so far this year in Fort Mitchell along that city's stretch of the interstate, the police department said. 30 of those crashes included injuries to 48 people.
37 involved commercial vehicles.
"We ask the public to please move over when you see law enforcement on the side of the road. It’s not only the right thing to do, it is also the law. We will be monitoring that as well," Fort Mitchell Police said.
