Covington Police: Sleepy Hollow Commuters Could Help in Murder Case

Covington Police are turning to the public in its effort to solve a murder case.

A man was found dead alongside Sleepy Hollow Road near Montague Road on Friday morning.

Police later reported that the man, identified as Eric Hughes, 32, of Covington, had been murdered.

Investigators did not release further details about how Hughes died.

On Tuesday, Covington Police issued a request for assistance from the public. Any commuters who traveled on Sleepy Hollow near Montague on Friday between 3 and 7 a.m. are asked to contact Detective Brian Kane at 859.292.2296.

"There is potential that someone driving in the area may have information that can assist us in this investigation," police said in a news release.
