Suspect Stopped After Allegedly Assaulting Clerk at Bellevue UDF

A man accused of criminal activity at the United Dairy Farmers store on Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue was stopped by police in Reading, Oh., Bellevue Police reported on Wednesday.

The man has not yet been publicly identified. 

On Tuesday, Bellevue Police asked the public for help in identifying the man after releasing images from a surveillance video at the store.

Officers said the man entered the store with a little girl in tow, and then stole items. When confronted by a clerk, the suspect assaulted the employee, police said.

The man then took off in a minivan.

Reading Police stopped the vehicle after seeing news reports, Bellevue Police said.
