A Kenton County grand jury indicted a man in the December 30 shooting death of Natasha Dawn Henderson.
Covington Police responded that night to the intersection of Pike and Main streets to find Henderson, 35, dead from gunshot wounds.
Patrick Orlando Blanchard, 33, turned himself in to Covington Police on January 5, days after the department obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On Thursday, Blanchard was indicted on charges of murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. The murder charge brings a possible sentence of 20 to 50 years, or life in prison, while the gun charge brings a possible sentence of 5 to 10 years in prison.
Blanchard is scheduled to be arraigned on March 11 in Kenton Circuit Court.
Meanwhile, Covington Police are still hoping to speak with the occupants of two vehicles believed to have been stopped in traffic behind the vehicle from which Blanchard is accused of firing the deadly shots.
Any witnesses should call 859.292.2375. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 513.352.3040.
