Campbell Co. Shocks Unbeaten John Hardin; Walton-Verona Rolls
Two Northern Kentucky teams advanced from the first round and will now face each other in the second after day one of the Kentucky boys basketball Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
Campbell County (29-4) pulled off a shocking upset of previously undefeated John Hardin (35-1), 61-60.
John Hardin had two good looks at a game-winner in the closing seconds, but missed both, giving the Camels the win.

Reid Jolly led Campbell County with 30 points while Tanner Lawrence added 17.
In the an earlier game, Walton-Verona (27-6) blasted Knox Central (30-4), 76-54.
Kameron Pardee led the Bearcats with 24 points. Dieonte Miles scored 19 and Trey Boone added 14 for Walton.
Campbell County and Walton-Verona will face off in the quarterfinals at noon on Friday.
Meanwhile, Covington Catholic (27-7) plays its opening round game against Scott County (32-3) on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
