Thayer to Speak to Kenton Rotary
Kentucky State Senator Damon Thayer (R-Georgetown) will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Kenton County’s luncheon meeting on Thursday, June 1.
Thayer, whose 17th Senate District includes parts of southern Kenton County and all of Grant and Scott Counties, is the Senate majority floor leader.
He was first elected in 2003 and became floor leader in 2013.
“The Rotary Club of Kenton County is thrilled to have Senator Thayer address our group,” said President Steve Gillespie. “Our club is looking forward to hearing an update of legislative activities in Frankfort.””
Thayer serves on the Committee on Committees, the Rules Committee, and the Legislative Research Commission. Additionally, he serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee, Senate Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations Committee, and the Senate State and Local Government Committee.
The luncheon will begin at noon at the Colonial Cottage Inn (3140 Dixie Highway, Erlanger). There will be limited seating by reservation only. Cost of the luncheon is $12 per person.
