Band Raises Funds for Cancer Research After Father Dies
Local band The Grove is hosting its third annual cancer benefit for a cure, Rock N Revival for a Cure.
It's set for March 10 at the Southgate House Revival in Newport.
Last year over $6,700 was raised and more than 600 people attended the event.
Local Cincinnati acts will fill every venue room and all proceeds will go to UC Health Brain Tumor Research in order to help find a cure for glioblastoma.
The event is personal to band member Adam Forsthoefel. Two years ago ago his 53-year old father was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a brain cancer. Glioblastoma is a very serious and life-shortening diagnosis. Adam’s father passed away in January 2017 and now both he and his brother have been inspired to put on this event together in order to raise awareness and work towards finding a cure for the disease.
The event starts at 5 p.m.
