FC Cincinnati Beats Northern Kentucky, 3-0
The Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team fell to FC Cincinnati on Tuesday evening by a final score of 3-0 in front of a crowd of 1,497. The contest was the first match of the spring season for NKU.
FC Cincinnati scored in the 12th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Daniel Haber played a cross into the box, and Tomi Ameobi headed it in to the back of the net. Haber got his second assist of the night on a corner kick in the 35th minute. This time, Dekel Keinan’s header found the back of the net. The final goal of the net came from Forrest Lasso in the 74th minute. His header came off a corner kick by Kenney Walker to give FCC the 3-0 victory.

Jim Barkei made four saves in the contest, and NKU also had a team save. Overall, 16 different players saw action in the game for the Norse.
NKU will continue the preseason on Saturday, March 3 with a home contest against defending USL champion Louisville City FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at NKU Soccer Stadium.
