Traveling War Memorial to Visit Taylor Mill this Weekend
The GoldStars Tribute Wall is coming to Taylor Mill.
The traveling memorial honors the memory of those lost in the Gulf War, Iraq War, and Afghanistan War.
It will be on display in Pride Park (5614 Taylor Mill Road) from Friday, May 4 through the morning of Monday, May 7.
The site can be visited 24 hours a day.
There are daily events scheduled:
Friday, May 4, 9:00 a.m.: Procession of the GoldStars Tribute Wall from Wilder to Taylor Mill. Following the Procession, the GoldStars Tribute Wall will be assembled, taking approximately 4 to 6 hours for completion.
Friday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m.: Opening Ceremony and American Flag Parachute Landing.
Saturday, May 5, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Military-Related Organizations onsite.
Sunday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m.: Closing Ceremony followed by a performance by the United States Army Diamond Brass Quartet Band.
Monday, May 7th at 8:00 a.m.: Disassembly of the GoldStars Tribute Wall and Conclusion of the event.
