Grant Co. Judge/Executive Candidate Gives Away AR-15 as Part of Campaign
A candidate for Grant County judge/executive is giving away an AR-15 as part of his campaign.
Myron Miller is running for the Republican nomination to the county's top post on May 22.
"It's a perfectly legal firearm. Firearms are rooted in our culture in this county. There's no reason we can't give away a gun," Miller told WXIX.
The station found a variety of reactions in Grant County to the campaign promotion.
To win the gun, entrants must register their information at Miller's campaign website. The winner must be 21 and submit to a background check.
Miller faces C.E. "Chuck" Dills II, Patricia Ann Conrad, and William "John" Souder in the May 22 Republican primary.
Incumbent Judge/Executive Stephen Wood is not running again.
