Water Being Distributed in Corinth as City Grapples with Broken Pipe
The Corinth Water District is still searching for the source of a water main break that caused widespread water outages in the small Grant County city.
The water district's office will be closed Tuesday to make way for election equipment, but staff will still be out in the community working. A post to the district's Facebook page says that phone calls to the office will be forwarded to employees' mobile phones.
The trouble started on Friday and employees have been looking for the pipe break since Saturday.
City employees will be at McDaniel Funeral Home on Old Corinth Owenton Road to distribute water. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Water was turned back on Monday, but shut off again as the search for the leak continued.
The water district office will also hand out free water to its customers on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. From 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., customers can contact the fire department.
