Fourth Person Arrested in Murder of Covington Cancer Patient
Covington Police have arrested a fourth person in the murder of Denita Satchwell, 58, whose body was founded in a wooded area near Rabbit Hash, days after she was reported missing from her Latonia home.
The fourth suspect is a juvenile whose name was not released. Two of the four people behind bars, accused in connection with the murder, are juveniles.
The latest arrest involves charges of complicity to first degree robbery and complicity murder.
Maurice Kenneth Jones, 38, is charged with murder, while Braedon Reaves, 18, is charged with facilitation to murder.
Reaves appeared in Kenton District Court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing. It was learned there through testimony from a Covington detective that plans to rob Satchwell were hatched in a small Florence apartment. Jones and one of the juveniles are accused of robbing and killing Satchwell in Latonia, and then stealing her car to transport her body to Boone County.
Reaves is accused of picking up the pair after Satchwell's body and car were dumped.
Jones is set to appear in court next week.
Satchwell was suffering from stage four lung cancer and it has been reported that a possible motive in the crime was to gain access to her pain pills.
