Allegedly Intoxicated Woman Arrested After Hitting Vehicles Near Bridge
A woman was arrested after her car hit several others Friday evening near the Brent Spence Bridge.
It happened at about 6:18 p.m. and closed the southbound lanes of I-71/75 for a short period while Covington Police investigated.
Ashley Cook, 29, is charged with six counts of first degree wanton endangerment and aggravated driving under the influence.
At the time, scanner traffic indicated that Cook was driving southbound when she hit the retainer wall on the Brent Spence Bridge several times, and then struck several passenger vehicles and a semi-truck.
She ultimately crashed into the left lane wall where she was found unconscious.
According to jail records, she was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
