Excessive Heat Warning: NKY to Feel Like 105-110 on July 4
An excessive heat warning is in effect for Northern Kentucky on Wednesday, July 4.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Oh. expects the heat index to reach between 105 and 110 degrees, with a regular high temperature of 97 in Covington.
The highest heat index will be reached between noon and 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
The NWS recommends limited exposure in the high heat.
On Tuesday, the region will remain in the eye of high temperatures, with the NWS expecting a high of 91 and an overnight low of 74. On Wednesday, the of 97 will be followed by an overnight low of 76. The high temperature will reach 96 on Thursday.
By Friday, the excessive heat begins to drop off. The high temperature is expected to reach 85 on Friday and then 82 on Saturday.
