News Anchor Says Her Wallet Was Stolen in Newport

Someone's face is likely to be plastered on television in a very unflattering way - and soon.

WXIX news anchor Tricia Macke posted to social media on Sunday that her wallet was stolen from a cart at the Fresh Thyme location in Newport.

"Whoever lifted my wallet out of the cart at Fresh Thyme In Newport- please give me a call- My business card is inside with my number. Blue Lululemon wallet. We will be looking at security tape in the morning. We’ll see who you are," Macke wrote on Facebook. A similar message appeared on her Twitter page.

Macke is a Newport native, a graduate of Newport Central Catholic and Northern Kentucky University. She and her family reside in Fort Thomas. She has been at WXIX since the station launched its news division in the early 1990s.

If surveillance cameras show a suspect in the alleged wallet theft, look for the person's face soon.
