St. Elizabeth Closing Latonia Urgent Care
St. Elizabeth Physicians is closing its Urgent Care location in Latonia.
The location will close on Sunday, September 23.
St. Elizabeth Physicians Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Jacob Bast told The River City News, through a statement, that the location at 4387 Winston Avenue had been leased on a month-to-month basis since April. Now, the property owners, Columbus, Oh.-based Schottenstein Property Group, have found a long-term tenant for the space, Bast said.
Schottenstein owns Latonia Centre, Latonia Plaza I, and Latonia Plaza II, effectively most of the commercial district on the western side of Winston Avenue.
Bast said that St. Elizabeth Physicians has not been able to find or develop an alternative location "that will serve both the convenience and standard of care that our patients currently experience."
"We are continuing to actively explore several options, but have nothing definitive at this time that we could share," Bast said. "We understand, and regret any inconvenience this may cause to our patients, and do want to emphasize that in the meantime, patients may use our closest urgent care locations in Ft. Thomas or Florence, as well as our Express Care in Highland Heights.
"In addition, our patients may also utilize our eVisit program, which features evening and weekend provider coverage, which can also meet patients care needs similarly. Health Point Family Care in Covington is also available for healthcare services, and offers evening hours."
The River City News has reached out to the prospective tenant that may be replacing the Urgent Care location.
