Meijer Reports Issues with Gas Quality at Cold Spring Location
Meijer grocery reported Tuesday that some customers may have purchased gas with a quality issue at its Cold Spring location.
The national chain says the issue only affects about 73 customers who bought gas at the location at 5410 Alexandria Pike.
The company said, out of an abundance of caution, it is asking customers who purchased premium or mid-grade fuel on Thursday, September 6 from 8 a.m. through Saturday, September 8 at 2:30 p.m. at that location to contact Meijer customer service at 1.800.543.3704 if they are experiencing an issue with their vehicle.
Those who purchased regular unleaded fuel were not impacted, the company said.
The quality issue is a result of a small amount of diesel fuel being accidentally introduced into the premium fuel tank by a fuel supplier, the company said. Meijer records show approximately 73 customers may have been affected. Meijer is attempting to reach customers where possible.
