Scott Loses for First Time, Photos from Beechwood/Dayton, & Other Scores
The Scott Eagles, in the midst of an historic undefeated season, suffered their first lost under the Friday night lights, losing to South Oldham, 30-20.
The Eagles are now 7-1 and with the loss, cede the regular season district title to South Oldham.
Elsewhere, Highlands trounced Holmes 71-14. The Bulldods drop to 5-3 on the season while the Bluebirds stay unbeaten at 8-0.
Newport beat Holy Cross in a close one, 37-36. The Wildcats improve to 3-5 while the Indians fall to 1-7.
Beechwood had no trouble with Dayton on Homecoming in Ft. Mitchell, with the Tigers downing the Greendevils, 56-0. Dayton falls to 2-6 while Beechwood improves to 5-3. See photos from the game by Brian Frey for The River City News, below.
Bellevue knocked off Ludlow 54-20. The Tigers are now 4-5 while the Panthers drop to 3-5.
Newport Central Catholic will face Bishop Brossart at 7 p.m. Saturday at Scott High in Taylor Mill.
