Taylor Mill, Bellevue Named All-Star Neighborhoods
Big All-Star Game news for Bellevue and Taylor Mill!
The Northern Kentucky cities have been chosen as All-Star Neighborhoods by the Community Organizing Committee.
The Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be played in Cincinnati in July and Bellevue and Taylor Mill were chosen among the ten All-Star Neighborhoods. Others include the Ohio neighborhoods/cities of Cheviot, Clifton, East Price Hill, Green Township, Madisonville, Pleasant Ridge, Walnut Hills, and Cheviot.
What does it mean?
All 10 communities will take part in the Baseball Across the Region Ceremony, will be awarded T-Mobile All-Star Fan Fest tickets, will have official All-Star Summer signage installed, and will have additional celebrations.
Two dozen communities applied.
“One of our goals is to engage our regional residents within this All-Star experience,” Community Organizing Committee Co-Chair Melanie Chavez said in a news release. “Being able to take the excitement directly to our neighborhoods and seeing residents enjoying themselves within their communities is an amazing way to see that goal realized.”
