More Details Released About Cold Spring's 75th Anniversary Celebration

The City of Cold Spring released more details about its 75th Anniversary Celebration this summer, at the regularly-scheduled city council meeting on Monday night.

Councilwoman Lisa Cavanaugh, who is planning the celebration, released the details to the city and council.

The celebration, which is scheduled for June 25, 2016, will kick-off in the morning with a 5K run through Cold Spring.

Later in the day, the city will host a catered meal, which will be open to Cold Spring residents only.

A car show in the afternoon will be happening during a citywide festival, which will include games, a beer booth, and music. The Belaires, a local band from Cold Spring, will headline the celebration with a concert at 8:00 p.m.

Cavanaugh said that she is collecting materials and pictures for a commemorative book about families that have lived in Cold Spring since the founding in 1941.

Cavanaugh also stated that volunteers are needed for the celebration and those that are interested in volunteering should call the city building.
