Mayoral, School Board Candidates Face Off Thursday

Thursday marks the final day and night of local debates and forums for candidates in Covington races. Mayoral candidates Sherry Carran and Steve Casper, both current city commissioners, will meet each other twice, while the school board candidates will appear together for their final time in the evening.

The Covington Business Council will feature Casper and Carran during its monthly luncheon at the Madison Events Center. The event starts at 11:30 with the forum beginning shortly after noon. The forum is moderated by Michael Monks of The River City News.

The mayoral candidates meet again Thursday evening at the American Legion Hall in Latonia where the nine school board candidates will also face off as each seeks votes to win one of three seats available. Doors open at 5:00PM with the forums starting at 6:00PM. The Latonia forum is presented by the Center for Great Neighborhoods, the Covington Business Council, the Covington Neighborhood Collaborative, the Friends of Covington, kypost.com, the Latonia Business Association, the Mainstrasse Village Association, and the Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky.
