Ludlow Seeks Federal Funds for

The City of Ludlow is seeking a Brownfields Hazardous Substances Cleanup grant in the amount of $200,000 from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the former Barker Fine Colors building at 38 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY.
If awarded, the City will use grant funds to conduct cleanup of hazardous substances at the property. It will also use grant funds to conduct public outreach and certify cleanup through the Kentucky Voluntary Environmental Remediation Program (VERP).
Public meetings were held November 8 and November 12.
A copy of the draft application is available for public review and comment between the hours of 9am and 5pm at the City Clerk’s office, 51 Elm Street.
