KY Flags Ordered at Half Staff in Honor of CT Shooting Victims
Governor Steve Beshear has ordered official flags in Kentucky to be lowers to half staff in honor of the victims killed in a Newtown, Connecticut school Friday morning. "We are horrified by this devastating shooting in Connecticut,” Beshear said in a news release. “The loss is unfathomable. As parents and grandparents, Jane and I cannot imagine the pain these families face. To the community of Newtown and the families of Sandy Hook Elementary, Kentuckians share in your grief, and we hold you in our hearts and prayers."
Gov. Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute. Flags will be lowered through next Friday, December 21.
