Man Gets 25 Years for Murder He Committed as Teen

UPDATE: According to reports on Twitter, Michael Rousseau was also sentenced today, to fifteen years in prison for his role in the same killing.

Stacey Spencer was sentenced to twenty-five years in prison for the January 2011 shooting death of Clayton Meyer on Patton Street in Covington. Spencer, who was 17 at the time of the killing but is now 19 and was tried as an adult, fired the fatal shot and pleaded guilty to murder and first degree robbery.

The sentencing comes one week after a second man pleaded guilty in the same case. Michael Rousseau, 20, admitted to charges of first degree robbery and facilitation of murder. Kenton Co. Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders is recommending a fifteen year prison sentence for Rousseau.

More details will be posted here when they are attained.
