Two Killed, Teen Wounded in Shooting at Hazard Community College
Two people were killed and a teen was wounded after shots were fired on the campus of Hazard Community & Technical College:
Stephen Greiner, president of the school, said the shooting happened in the parking lot of the First Federal Center Building on campus sometime before 6 p.m.
The school went into lockdown after the shooting. Greiner said the buildings had been searched and there was no shooter inside.
By just after 7 p.m., Greiner said he had gone with police to release students and faculty in one of two buildings on campus where classes were being held when the shooting happened. He said they were in the process of releasing those in the second building. He said police were interviewing those inside as they went.
